Death Marches, Tobacco Trees & Windmills: Birding in Big Bend National park

I have been birding in Big Bend National Park for over 30 years, I actually got my start in birding in the Chisos Basin by taking an image of a Canyon Towhee and then wondering what specific species it was I had photographed. With the purchase of a National Geographic Field Guide to Birds, I began a journey of discovery and exploration that will remain with me the rest of my life!
