Costa Rica is known worldwide for the diversity of animal and plant life that inhabit it’s borders. Over 800 species of birds, and of that over 50 species of hummingbirds, have been recorded in Costa Rica. To say Costa Rica is a bird photographer’s paradise is a major understatement. Toucans, barbets, tanagers, guans, hummingbirds, oropendolas, and warblers provide a rainbow of colors with a backdrop of beautiful foliage. Red-eyed Tree Frogs, katydids, ants, flowers, and butterflies will have you grabbing your macro lens regularly. These images bely a bevy of colors that are dazzling and saturated, a palette of photos that will certainly please the pickiest of photographers.
