Colorado Landscapes
The Ouray region of southwestern Colorado and the fall colors can be spectacular. The Mount Sneffels Wilderness Area, Telluride, Owl Creek Pass, and the national forest provide incredible views, adventure, and superb fall colors. Watch for a 2020 fall workshop offered through Wildside Nature Tours in late September/early October. Great Sand Dunes National Park is a photographer’s dream with excellent lighting that lends itself to amazing black and white images.

The fall colors of aspen, scrub oak, willow, and cottonwood trees vary from golden yellow to orange to deep red and capturing these colors along with snow storms, sunrises or sunsets, sun bursts, god rays, or late storms give the photographer something new everyday. Each year the colors, timing, and weather vary so you never know what to expect when you explore the Ouray area of southwestern Colorado.
